Private messaging … Is it really private?
Private messaging apps are rapidly growing in popularity and have been the topic several recent news articles – they highlight the importance we place on protecting our privacy.
The Guardian recently reviewed its picks for the 10 best messaging apps and a recent article by Reuters said that downloads of private social messaging apps increased 200 percent in 2013 over 2012.
The desire for greater control over privacy seems to be driving this private messaging boom. But, just how well do they protect your privacy?
